Hatha Yoga has been part of my life for over 20 years. I’ve had the privilege of studying under the guidance of many great teachers. I’ve practiced different styles, mainly Classical Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Katonah Yoga. To me the practice of Hatha Yoga is an ayurvedic practice which cleanses and strengthens our physical body, and balances our subtle bodies and mind. Using techniques such as alignment, measurement and precise breath count, I aim to guide students through a flowing class. Practice is a place to experience balance; it is an invitation to witness the fluidity of the present moment, the strength of the body and the suspension of the mind. My objective is to help students gain a practical approach to yoga beyond scheduled class, in order to become fully present, balanced and focused at every moment, which leads to a rich, successful and fulfilling life.
